There are two types of health insurance that will help pay for your eye care and optical products:
- Vision Plans ( such as VSP, Spectera, etc.)
- Medical Insurance ( such as Medicare, United Health Care, etc.)
The office of Jeri D. Graham, OD, PA takes many vision plans (11) and Medicare and 2 other medical plans at this time.
-Vision Plans only cover routine vision wellness exams. Vision plans cover some of the cost of eyeglasses and contact lenses. Vision plans do not cover medical eye care (the diagnosis, management or treatment of eye health problems).
-Medical Insurance must be used for medical eye care.
-You may have both insurances and we will help you choose the right insurance for the specific exam you need.
-Some fees are not paid by your insurance so we will collect them from you. These fees are deductibles, co-pays or non-covered services.
Hope this clarifies some common questions.
