We are re-opening Friday May 8, 2020. We are eager to get back to a routine.
That means we are seeing patients for routine eye exams again.

The “new normal” routine in a doctors office is explained below:

1) You will have your temperature taken with a non-contact thermometer and sent home if above 99.9.
2) You will be asked some screening questions about your health and recent travel habits.
3) Our waiting room is sparse. There is nowhere to sit. So don’t bring companions.
4) Bring a mask and wear it over the nose and mouth.

We will be constantly cleaning and disinfecting around you and in front of you.

You will not be uncomfortable and you will get a safe exam, so feel relieved.

Watch Out for Winter UV

sun-in-winterA lot of people think they only need to protect themselves from ultraviolet (UV) rays during peak hours on hot, sunny days. Winter is a great time to debunk the myths about UV.

-80% of UV rays can penetrate clouds.

-Those who engage in winter sports may be more at risk, because they are spending time at higher elevations and getting a UV “bounce” from snow.

-Maximum UV exposure is at a solar angle of 20-40 degrees, not at noon when the sun is straight up overhead.

-Sunglasses and hats help.

Acuvue Brand Contact Lenses add an extra layer of protection from UV-A and UV-B.

Happy Holidays!!

We wish you, your family, and friends Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!!

Testing for effective Dry Eye Treatment – AVAILABLE NOW!!!

Dry eyes often have high concentration of solutes in the tear film. When tear osmolarity is checked, it can be elevated in either eye. Not only does this help with diagnosis, but it can be tracked over time to judge the response to treatment. A lower osmolarity makes both the doctor and the patient feel better about the effectiveness of the prescribed treatment plan.

Back to School Special!!

All K-12th grade students (5 – 18 years old) that need a regular eyeglass exam pay only $55 for the months of July and August 2016.
